Job Summary:

CSA Group is seeking a Project Manager to facilitate the development of leading-edge standards solutions in electrical safety products. As a key member of our team, you will enable technical discussions, promote consensus amongst stakeholders, and interact with industry experts, manufacturers, academia, researchers, scientists, and government officials.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage standards development activities, focusing on Canadian Electrical Code Part II, product standards related to consumer and commercial, industrial, wiring, and wiring device products, and Canadian Electrical Code Part I Installation Code.
  • Oversee all aspects of the standards development process, including management of multiple Canadian, US, and/or international standards development projects.
  • Identify project timelines and budgets in accordance with CSA Directives and procedures.
  • Develop a portfolio roadmap for product standards, addressing market and stakeholder needs.
  • Develop key stakeholder relationships with academia, regulators, industry, and others.
  • Identify and pursue potential areas of new opportunities, such as new standards' requirements, training, and education programs, related to the assigned standards portfolio.
  • Support creation of technical standards outlines to be used as seed documents for new standards development projects.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree or Technologist (BSc, B.Eng or CET) in an appropriate technical field.
  • 5-10 years relevant experience within the electrical products sector, with 3-5 years' experience in Standards Development and/or Project Management.
  • Technical understanding and experience working with the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, and II.
  • Knowledge of the standards' industry, government policy, industry landscape, and funding programs/models would be an asset.
  • Experience writing proposals and business plans.

  • Developed computer skills (word processing, presentation software, project planning software, spreadsheet, etc.).
  • Highly developed oral, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Bilingualism would be an asset.
