About the Role:

WestRock is seeking a skilled Journeyman Operator to join our Bindery team at our Mississauga Folding facility. As a key member of our afternoon shift, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Cutter team to cross-reference completed jobs and share updated information.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service department to resolve order issues and ensure timely delivery.
  • Audit ready-to-go orders to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and packaging.
  • Contribute to the Finance team's efforts to close out outstanding Work in Progress (WIP).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook and Excel, is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to stand and walk 100% of shift on a concrete floor and lift 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good attendance and punctuality are required.

Shift Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Friday: 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
  • Overtime may be required during busy periods.
