About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lawtons Drugs in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing, processing, and compounding prescriptions with independent authority, responsibility, and liability.
  • Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners.
  • Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic.
  • Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.
  • Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions.
  • Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions.
  • Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records.
Requirements
  • Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $60,000 - 70,000, depending on experience. Our Total Rewards package includes:
