Director of Medical Operations

The First Nations Health Authority is a leading health organization that values diversity and innovation. We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Medical Operations to join our team.
This role will provide operational leadership of medical staff, including governance, credentialing, and contracting, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement human resource strategies, including proposed organizational structures, qualifications, recruitment, compensation models, cultural safety and humility standards, and leadership development programs.
- Lead the planning and implementation of medical administration initiatives related to the delivery of physician services in BC First Nation-led Primary Care projects.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with provincial and federal health authorities, Indigenous Services Canada, and Health Canada.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health Administration, Health Care Administration, or Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- Master's degree would be an asset.
- Relevant, recent, and significant experience working with medical staff, Indigenous individuals, communities, and/or organizations in the area of health and wellness.
- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.4 weeks' vacation, which increases with service to 5 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays.
