Key Responsibilities
  • Bar and Beverage Program Management: Expertly manage the overall bar and beverage program, including cocktails, beers, garnishing, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Staff Training and Development: Lead training in advanced mixology techniques and create a culture of excellence among team members.
  • Service and Operational Standards: Create and maintain service and operational standards for the bar, incorporating best practices and efficiencies where possible.
  • Cocktail List Creation: Lead the creation and maintenance of cocktail lists, including new and innovative products and combinations, while considering costing and speed requirements.
  • Supplier Relationships: Liaise and build relationships with beverage-related suppliers to source new products, promotions, and improved pricing.
  • Team Leadership: Communicate the vision to all team members, lead by example, and reinforce the company values daily.
  • Guest and Team Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members, and senior management alike.
  • Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics, and utilize conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Strive for maximum efficiency and continual improvement of staff productivity.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' mixology and cocktail program creation experience is a must.
  • Certifications: WSET Intermediate Wine Certificate or comparable is an asset.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive beverage knowledge, including traditional cocktails and new, on-trend beverages.
  • Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to demonstrate extreme organization in a fast-paced environment while acting as a team player.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and inventory control are essential.
