About the Role

Mercer is seeking a highly skilled Pension Administration Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our pension administration Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administration services to our clients, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate pension benefits and prepare statements resulting from various events, including termination of employment, retirement, death, marriage breakdown, transfer, and other relevant scenarios.
  • Update client databases with accurate and timely information, utilizing various systems and databases to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Prepare annual statements for plan members, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Calculate pension adjustments, reversals, and past service pension adjustments, as well as pension indexation, to ensure accurate benefit calculations.
  • Respond to clients' and members' inquiries in a professional and timely manner, providing clear and concise information to resolve their concerns.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in pensions administration, with a strong understanding of defined benefit pension plans.
  • Financial and/or mathematics background, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
