About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Bar George. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff, managing day-to-day operations, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food and beverage offerings.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including recruitment, training, payroll, invoicing, ordering, and inventory management.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies and promotions to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with guests, vendors, team members, and senior management to ensure a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Communicate the restaurant's vision and values to all staff, leading by example and promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Supervisory or management experience in restaurants, preferably in a similar environment.
  • WSET certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff, guests, and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
