About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Child and Youth Care Specialist to join our team at School District #37 (Delta). As a key member of our Inclusive Learning department, you will work collaboratively with our Director, District Counsellor, and District Coordinator to provide support to students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group support to students with diverse needs
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to ensure student success
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of inclusive learning strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent
  • Child and Youth Care Diploma or Associate Degree
  • Post-secondary Bachelor degree in Social Work or Child and Youth Care (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years supervised experience working with children and youth
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and safe driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
