Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Child and Youth Care Worker to join our team at School District #37 (Delta). As a Visiting Teacher - Continuing, you will play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Director, Inclusive Learning, District Counsellor, and District Coordinator to provide support to students.
  • Participate as a member of a team to provide individualized support to students with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and academic success.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, family, and community members to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation program or equivalent.
  • Child and Youth Care Diploma, Associate Degree, or Community Social Service Worker Diploma.
  • Post-secondary Bachelor degree in Social Work or Child and Youth Care is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervised recent and relevant work-related experience with children and youth.
  • Proven ability working with at-risk school-aged children and youth.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and safe driving record.
