Delivery Manager

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a skilled Delivery Manager to lead the development, implementation, and ongoing oversight of critical tools supporting Nova Scotia's publicly funded immunization program and Public Health transformation. Reporting to the Program Manager for Public Health Information Solutions, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to execute on evolving priorities, consult, plan, and deliver quality solutions that impact users.
Key Responsibilities- Build a deep understanding of how solutions impact users and champion ongoing initiatives to continually improve functionality, quality, and cost.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of the functionality of the product or service being supported and what it takes to maintain operations.
- Develop strategies to engage with users of the products and prioritize suggested improvements and additional functionality with business leaders.
- Work directly with vendors and technical teams to troubleshoot and implement corrective action in a timely manner, manage enhancement budgets, and ensure adequate and timely reporting.
- Advocate for best practices in product/service development and support.
- Communicate effectively and ensure adherence to departmental processes and procedures.
- Lead the delivery of product/service upgrades and patch releases.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and technical teams to lead the problem management process.
- Escalate technical issues to other teams as necessary and navigate the organization to find solutions to complex issues.
- Maintain an up-to-date program documentation and operational support plan.
- Identify potential risks to the product or services and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Lead Threat Risk Assessments, Vulnerabilities Assessments, and Penetration testing as required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information systems, or a related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience. They will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills. Experience in project management on complex projects or programs, vendor management, and outsourced service providers is considered an asset.
