Job Summary

SaskEnergy is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Manager, Health and Safety. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing our health and safety management programs and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide leadership for the development and implementation of safety management programs to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage assigned workgroups in the effective delivery of health and safety services.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to operational groups on accident investigations, including post-incident drug and alcohol program administration.
  • Collaborate with SHE committees, operation management, and executives to develop and implement health and safety strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Research and recommend innovative industry trends and practices in health and safety.
  • Oversee the annual Safety Stand Up Program.
  • Serve as the corporate contact for the health and safety workgroup for the Canadian Gas Association (CGA), the Pipeline Association, and other external agencies.
  • Coordinate and complete internal and external audits.
  • Develop and administer the departmental budget for Health and Safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Science, or Social Science.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum six years of experience in safety and health activities in the petroleum industry.
Additional Information
  • This role requires travel, including overnight stays away from headquarters on occasion.
  • The job is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to the Drug and Alcohol Policy.
