Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Director to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, implementation, and administration of our company's compensation programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Compensation Program Design and Management
Design and manage compensation programs, including salary bands/structures, annual merit increases, bonus programs, and executive compensation packages.
Equity Program Planning and AdministrationPlan and administer long and short-term equity programs and executive programs that drive company performance.
Compensation Data Analysis and BenchmarkingConduct analysis and benchmarking of compensation data against market standards to maintain competitiveness and compliance with regulations.
Regulatory ComplianceEnsure all compensation practices comply with federal and local laws and regulations.
Job Evaluation and Compensation BudgetingLead job evaluation processes, including job analysis, job descriptions, and job grading. Develop and manage the compensation budget when approved, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Performance Management IntegrationIntegrate compensation programs with performance management systems to ensure a strong link between pay and performance.
Expert Advice and GuidanceProvide expert advice and guidance to senior management and HR partners on compensation matters, trends, and policy recommendations to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Compensation Data Collection and AnalysisChampion timely and robust data collection and analysis processes that support research and market, pay equity, and other compensation studies.
Compensation Reporting and PresentationsPrepare detailed compensation reports and presentations for executive leadership and the board of directors, highlighting trends, analyses, and recommendations.
Special Compensation ProjectsSpearhead special compensation projects, such as mergers and acquisitions integration, pay equity audits, and the implementation of new compensation technologies or methodologies.
Compensation Data IntegrityMaintain accurate compensation data and ensure integrity in HRIS systems.
Regulatory and Market AwarenessKeep abreast of regulatory, market, and practice changes and trends.
Requirements- Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
ExperienceMinimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in compensation management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated financial acumen and expertise in data and financial modeling and scenario planning. Strong relationship-building and influencing skills and the ability to prioritize business requirements appropriately through a collaborative partnership approach.
