We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team in La Pocatiere, CA. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative manufacturing solutions to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design of products in partnership with various functions to propose solutions to improve manufacturing processes
  • Support the main manufacturing functions in the realization of the first units
  • Determine the functional requirements and draft technical documentation for the assembly of train cars
  • Conduct research, studies, and analysis to develop manufacturing methods, products, and new markets in partnership with internal and external expertise
  • Develop action plans to improve the productivity of existing equipment and/or integrate new technologies into our manufacturing processes
  • Define and estimate the costs of the most economical production methods according to the requirements of the product

Required Profile:

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts related to mechanical manufacturing and assembly
  • Basic welding knowledge an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required; CATIA software an asset
  • Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English
  • Detail-oriented
  • Autonomy and rigor
  • Excellent communications skills and team player
  • Available to travel
