Canguard Building Maintenance Ltd. is seeking a skilled Financial Record Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure the smooth operation of our financial systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, as well as a strong understanding of financial principles and regulations. You will be responsible for posting journal entries, preparing tax returns, and reconciling accounts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
  • Prepare tax returns and financial statements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Organized and reliable with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Work Environment:

  • 35 to 37 hours per week
  • Permanent work term
  • English language
