About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at SAKURA SUSHI COBOURG. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring high-quality service and food presentation.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Quality Control and Reporting
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • Prepare and submit reports on stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and efficient operations.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to facilitate smooth kitchen operations.
