About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to join our team at Lakeside Variety Store. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless execution of logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their performance targets.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews to assess staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
