Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Border City Storage Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Operational Plans

Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure the efficient use of resources.

Oversee Warehouse Operations

Oversee the operational logistics of the organization, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods.

Coordinate with Other Departments

Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Prepare and Submit Reports

Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.

Maintain Equipment and Inventory

Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.

Train and Develop Staff

Train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Organize and maintain inventory, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Recruit and support newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.

Support for Youths

Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, and develop programs to support their development and growth.

Support for Indigenous People

Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations, and work to promote their interests and needs.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.

Work Language

English.

Work Hours

30 to 40 hours per week.
