Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our team of investment professionals. As an Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting fundamental research to identify investment opportunities, performing detailed company analysis, and contributing to the portfolio construction and overall investment management process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct fundamental research to identify investment opportunities in the banking industry
  • Perform detailed company analysis, including building financial projection models on securities owned or under consideration as an investment
  • Conduct management interviews and establish relationships with senior management of companies under their areas of responsibility
  • Develop investment thesis and present recommendations to the portfolio manager and research team
  • Monitor companies within the portfolio to assess how the investment thesis is playing out and re-evaluate recommendations proactively according to conviction levels
Requirements
  • Minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in investment analysis or a related field
  • University degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related area; graduate studies, an asset
  • Enrollment or completion of the CFA program, an asset
  • Reasonable understanding of financial markets and products

  • Experience with data visualization, with an ability to use graphics and high-quality charts and graphs to present findings in a clear and concise way
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Bilingual (French and English)
