
Nursing Leadership Role

This is a full-time leadership position at VON Canada, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community. As a Manager of Nursing, you will provide professional and practice leadership to staff, ensuring the provision of safe and effective client care within your program area.
About the Job:The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience managing others, with a strong background in community work and collaboration with community partners. You will be responsible for directing and monitoring the delivery of client care services, as well as supervising and training front-line staff.
You will also participate in budget preparation, financial performance management, and measurement reports. Additionally, you will liaise with various members of the home care and clinical management teams, and interact with Client Organizations such as LHIN, CCAC, District Health Authorities, Ministries of Health, and community health, social, and service agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment
- Direct and monitor the delivery of client care services, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Supervise and train front-line staff, developing their skills and abilities to provide exceptional care
- Participate in budget preparation, financial performance management, and measurement reports
- Liaise with various members of the home care and clinical management teams
- Interact with Client Organizations, building relationships and promoting VON Canada's services
- Bachelor or Post-Secondary education in a related field
- Regulated Health Professional certification as a Registered Nurse
- A minimum of 2 years' experience managing others
- Experience in community work and collaboration with community partners
- Strong public relations and networking skills
- Demonstrated skillsets in leadership and team building
- A personal vehicle or access to reliable transportation, with a current driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
- A Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may be required
- A competitive salary of $83,000 - $93,000 per year, based on experience
