Micro-Vu Corp is seeking a highly skilled Aesthetic Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $**85,000 - $110,000 per year**, depending on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling service issues in the field and preparing and presenting training materials.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, remediate, and document machine and software issues in the field.
  • Assemble sensor, drive, and stage subassemblies.
  • Calibrate, maintain, and repair machines.
  • Travel to customer sites to perform these tasks.
  • Develop training materials, including written manuals, lectures, and videos.
  • Train service technicians at dealers' facilities.
  • Cultivate practical expertise in Micro-Vu's hardware and software products.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, and software engineers for continuous improvement.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with common manual and powered assembly tools.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and passion for building and making things.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and professional discretion.
  • Comfortability working with computers and learning specialized software.
  • Problem-solving ability, quick learning, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, or software issues is desirable.

  • Experience working internationally and across language barriers.
  • Experience building complex machines involving mechanics and electrics/electronics.
  • Knowledge of precision assemblies and calibration techniques.
  • Experience shooting and editing video.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical repair.
  • Basic understanding of software testing or software programming theory.
  • Experience or education as an engineer.
