Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced User Support Technician to join our team at Intelli Matrix.

This is a full-time permanent position offering an estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. As per collective agreement.

Job Description

The User Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to employees in the use of computer systems, networks, and software applications. This includes setting up equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Giving access to computer networks
  • Responding to users experiencing difficulties with computers
  • Consulting user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Providing advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Collecting, organizing, and maintaining a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Participating in the redesign of applications and other software
  • Providing business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
  • Performing Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Providing customer service
  • Managing incidents
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A college diploma, CEGEP certificate, or non-university diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
