Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for collaborating with Procurement Managers on a multitude of Procurement projects ranging from Requests for Proposal (RFPs), contract management reviews, and other supply chain management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client account group interviews to understand business requirements.
  • Advanced financial analysis and proposal modeling in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create communication summaries.
  • Strategic planning and delivery, including developing and recommending advanced and complex strategic plans for Manager review.
  • Sourcing strategy development and implementation, including developing and recommending sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients.
  • Opportunities assessment and implementation, including leading and performing opportunities assessment activities and driving leverage across client accounts.
  • Competitive bid process execution, including negotiating with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value.
  • Supplier performance measurement and management, including identifying and implementing performance metrics to measure and take action to improve supplier performance.
  • Supplier relationship management, including developing and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiating, developing, implementing, amending, and monitoring supplier contractual agreements.
  • Maintaining in-depth and current category knowledge as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends.
  • Providing category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise for complex categories and/or geographic areas.
  • Developing and maintaining benchmarking activity for assigned categories.
  • Validating vendor set up and vendor information changes, performing Anti-Bribery and Corruption due diligence.
  • Developing and maintaining standard templates for strategic sourcing documentations, including RFx templates, contract agreements, scopes of work, service level agreements, and letters of agreements.
  • Ensuring adherence to Company Policies, Processes, and Work Instructions.
  • Interacting with Operational and Finance team members to meet requirements.
  • Supporting Procurement team members as required.

Requirements

  • University graduation or professional certification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement field.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices.
  • Ability to develop and execute category management strategies and plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and execute supplier contract agreements.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with various concerned parties.
  • Advanced influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Works independently; receives minimal guidance.
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Completion of Supply Chain Management Professional Designation or equivalent or degree/diploma in business-related studies.
