Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist II is responsible for collaborating with Procurement Managers on a multitude of Procurement projects ranging from Requests for Proposal (RFPs), contract management reviews, and other supply chain management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Procurement Managers to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans.
  • Conduct client account group interviews to understand business requirements.
  • Develop and recommend advanced financial analysis and proposals for Manager review.
  • Implement strategic plans and monitor progress.
  • Develop and recommend sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients.
  • Implement sourcing strategy and review its effectiveness.
  • Lead and perform opportunities assessment activities and drive leverage across client accounts.
  • Achieve improvements in operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Execute end-to-end competitive bid process for strategic plans.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimum cost and maximum value.
  • Identify and implement performance metrics to measure and take action to improve supplier performance.
  • Measure and manage supplier performance.
  • Responsible for supplier performance for assigned categories and reports on supplier sustainability.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Negotiate, develop, implement, amend, and monitor supplier contractual agreements.
  • Maintain in-depth and current category knowledge as well as knowledge of strategic sourcing best practices and industry trends.
  • Provide category and strategic sourcing subject matter expertise for complex categories and/or geographic areas.
  • Develop and maintain benchmarking activity for assigned categories.
  • Validate vendor set up and vendor information changes.
  • Perform Anti-Bribery and Corruption due diligence.
  • Develop and maintain standard templates for strategic sourcing documentations.
  • Ensure adherence to Company Policies, Processes, and Work Instructions.
  • Interact with Operational and Finance team members to meet requirements.
  • Support Procurement team members as required.

Requirements

  • University graduation or professional certification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement field.
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices.
  • Ability to develop and execute category management strategies and plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and execute supplier contract agreements.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with various concerned parties.
  • Advanced influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions.
