Job Title: VP Internal Audit, Financial and Insurance Risk

Aviva is seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP Internal Audit, Financial and Insurance Risk to join our team. As a key member of our Internal Audit function, you will play a critical role in helping us protect our assets, reputation, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of the audit plan, ensuring that it aligns with the company's risk management strategy.
  • Communicate and report to relevant stakeholders on the effectiveness of the framework of controls, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead advisory work, providing expert guidance on risk management and control processes.
  • Manage and develop a team of risk and audit professionals, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
  • Drive team performance and development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the team, ensuring that our risk management and audit processes are aligned with the company's overall strategy.
Requirements:
  • Professional audit, risk, accounting, or actuarial qualification or equivalent business experience.
  • Detailed financial, commercial, and insurance risk technical knowledge.
  • Regulatory knowledge and experience in risk identification and measurement.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial, risk, and insurance-related topics.
  • Experience in leading sophisticated projects/reviews, leading small-medium teams, and negotiation.
  • Experience in managing senior-level relationships and influencing their behavior.
