About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team at 2847764 Ontario Limited. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Estimates: Develop and prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
  • Pre-Qualification Submissions: Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
  • Project Coordination: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Operate CAD software systems to create and manage project designs.
  • Estimate Reports: Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to clients.
  • Tender Analysis: Analyze tenders and recommend awards to clients.
  • Cost Monitoring: Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems to ensure project costs are within budget.
  • Supply Chain Management: Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal record-keeping systems.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.
  • Senior Management Support: Provide advice and support to senior management on construction-related matters.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in construction estimation.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in CAD software systems and other computer-aided design tools.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
