Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Attorney to join our team at the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients, as well as conducting research and gathering evidence to support our cases.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide legal advice and representation to clients
- Conduct research and gather evidence to support our cases
- Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes

Requirements

- Membership in a provincial or territorial law society
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word

Work Environment

- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

- Accurate and reliable
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
