**Job Title:** Airline Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced Airline Operations Manager to join our team at Porter Airlines Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of airline operations, including flight scheduling, ground handling, and passenger services.

Our fleet of Embraer E195-E2 and De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft serves a North American network from Eastern Canada. About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role in our operations team. As an Airline Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of airline operations, including:
- Flight scheduling and ground handling
- Patient management and communication
- Safety protocols and procedures
- Traffic and transportation coordination
- Airport facility operation and maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective operational strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety and comfort of passengers
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including NOCC, Interlines desk, airport staff, and other stations to achieve operational goals
- Liaise with external partners, such as ground handlers, groomers, catering, airport authorities, and other airlines to manage IROP situations effectively
- Implement contingency plans and make real-time decisions to minimize disruptions
- Provide timely updates and information to affected passengers regarding flight status, rebooking options, and other relevant details
- Document and report on IROP incidents, including root causes, actions taken, and lessons learned
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve operational resilience and minimize the impact of IROP situations
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to IROP management and airline operations
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- 1-3 years airline experience required
- Knowledge and proficiency in airport reservation systems, Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Coordinator or supervisory background preferred
- Lead relief experience an asset
- Bilingual (English/French)
- College level education preferred
- Duties require professional and superior verbal and written communication skills
- Positive track record of establishing/maintaining positive and cooperative working relationships with others
- Dependability (must have a good attendance record and reliable on-time reporting for work)
