The Role

We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team at our busy clinic in Markham. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for providing a positive service experience.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Meet and achieve KPI and performance goals
  • Optimize clinic capacity
  • Manage patient check-ins, departures, enquiries, and phone calls
  • Accurately register patients by obtaining complete demographics, insurance information, and consent
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow-ups
  • Respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and empathetic manner
  • Maintain attention to detail for all medical records
  • Follow best practices in confidentiality and privacy of medical information
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Requirements:
  • 1 year medical office experience
  • Cardiology practice and clinic experience is an asset
  • Education/diploma in medical office administration
  • Demonstrated high-quality, compassionate, customer-centered experience
  • Proven ability to work proficiently and independently in a busy, fast-paced environment
