Medical Imaging Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Imaging Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Medical Imaging Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patients' physical and psycho-social needs, identifying problems and developing care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, including scrubbing and circulating duties.
- Collaborate with radiologists, other healthcare professionals, and the Medical Imaging team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Document patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, applying evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized high acuity specialty nursing certificate and one (1) year of recent related interventional medical imaging experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
