Medical Imaging Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Imaging Nurse to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interventional radiography team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and monitor patients' physical and psycho-social needs, identifying problems and developing effective care plans.
- Provide individualized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Participate in unit/team/program activities to enhance and optimize the delivery of care, promoting evidence-based nursing practice and quality management principles.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a recognized high acuity specialty nursing certificate and one year of recent related interventional medical imaging experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice within an angiographic and/or interventional medical imaging setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, patient physiological reactions, and anesthesia/procedural sedation.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, and provide leadership through initiative and independence.
