Job Overview:

Grainger Businesses is seeking an Industrial Sales Account Professional to drive sales growth in a specific geography or vertical market. This role involves producing positive sales growth, managing customer relationships, and utilizing Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer goals and remain responsive to changing customer needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of market data and resources to respond to new developments in the customer's business.
  • Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to increase sales results.
  • Develop account penetration strategies and provide solutions to grow profitable sales.
  • Travel to customer sites regularly and adhere to safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of direct outside sales experience or equivalent inside sales or marketing experience.
  • Sales forecasting and customer planning skills.
  • Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections and determine solutions.
  • Process discipline and ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process.
