Psychological Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide senior-level psychological services to patients across our hospital, including individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic interviews and develop individualized treatment plans to address problematic behaviors and promote psychiatric stability.
- Provide consultation and guidance to treatment teams on behavioral interventions and evidence-based practices to reduce workplace violence and improve patient care.
- Develop and implement individual behavior plans to address aggression, self-harm, and other challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with staff to successfully implement treatment plans and monitor their effectiveness.
- Conduct psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities related to psychological service provision and treatment across the hospital.
- Provide guidance and oversight to psychology students or other staff as needed.
- Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
- Knowledge of psychology and related disciplines, as well as treatment techniques and practices.
- Strong interviewing and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to conduct individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
- Ability to develop plans for implementing and monitoring rehabilitation activities in skill acquisition and behavior management.
- Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing circumstances. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
