Cashier Team Lead

At Shoppers Drug Mart, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cash Handling Team Lead to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the cash handling operations in one of our retail stores.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire, train, and supervise a team of cashiers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient cash handling operations.
- Authorize returns of merchandise and resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Establish and maintain work schedules to ensure adequate staff coverage during peak periods.
- Conduct performance reviews to ensure employees are meeting expectations and provide coaching and training as needed.
- Manage cash and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of employees to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- 1-2 years of retail management experience with a strong background in cash handling and customer service.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and empower team members.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve operational issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
