1st Choice Savings and Credit Union Ltd. is seeking an experienced Financial Services Professional to join our team in Southern Alberta.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service, financial advice, and guidance to our members. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail lending and investment products, as well as experience in business development and growth.
About the Role:
The Financial Services Professional will be responsible for engaging with members, identifying their financial needs, and providing personalized solutions. This will involve proactively managing and maintaining regular communication with assigned portfolio members, structuring investment and retirement plans, and using supporting tools to identify members' current financial situations and future goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and financial advice to members, ensuring a consistent brand experience through every interaction.
- Proactively manage and maintain regular communication with assigned portfolio members to strengthen and grow financial relationships.
- Structure and manage investment and retirement plans for members, utilizing different investment strategies and product options.
- Use supporting tools to identify members' current financial situations, future goals, and provide recommendations to achieve those goals.
- Create and manage scheduled contact plans to provide financial literacy sessions with assigned portfolio members.
- Promote and maintain awareness of 1st Choice Savings and Credit Union Ltd. in the community, participating in development activities to ensure branch success.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in commerce or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Financial Planning 1 and 2 certifications, or working towards, with ongoing continuing education requirements.
- Mutual Funds license and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a solid understanding of retail lending (including mortgages) and investment products.
- Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- Proven business development and growth skills.
Salary: The salary range for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
