We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of medical laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers.
- Collect and process blood and other bodily fluids for testing, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Interpret test results and communicate findings to healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by CAMRT.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) and registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) within three months of hire.
- Must maintain current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM).
- Previous related experience in a medical laboratory or diagnostic imaging setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
