Job Title: Casual Medical Radiation Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Casual Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Casual Medical Radiation Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care and that imaging procedures are performed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans
  • Work closely with healthcare team to ensure patient care and safety
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment
  • Develop and implement imaging protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
  • Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
  • Previous experience in diagnostic imaging
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
