Job Description

The House of Commons Administration is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Legal Counsel. Our organization is committed to delivering exceptional services to Members of Parliament and their employees, and we are looking for a talented professional to support our efforts.

About the Role

As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our team, ensuring that our operations are compliant with relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with our staff to develop and implement policies and procedures, and provide support for parliamentary democracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the House of Commons Administration team
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Support the development of parliamentary democracy
  • Work closely with staff to ensure effective delivery of services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of legal principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
