Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher (PT) Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher to join our team at Coast Hotels. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service operations.

**Responsibilities**

* Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to Coast Hotels' high standards of quality and safety
* Assist with food preparation, including washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment
* Support the kitchen team with regular service and banquet event preparation
* Ensure the safety and security of the property, other ambassadors, and guests
* Stock supplies and maintain inventory levels

**Requirements**

* Some experience in a similar role is an asset; preference will be given to candidates who are completing or have completed a culinary arts/professional cook training program
* FoodSafe or equivalent certification
* Hepatitis A Vaccination recommended
* Physical mobility and stamina
* Professional attitude and appearance
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to take verbal direction and read and apply instructions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Detail-oriented
* Good time management and organizational skills
* Performs duties efficiently
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training an asset
* Exemplifies Coast's core values and enjoys working in a culture of accountability
* Able to work a flexible schedule, which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
