Job Title: Ambulatory Clinics Registration Clerk

BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ambulatory Clinics Registration Clerk to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Ambulatory Clinics Registration Clerk will be responsible for scheduling and registering patients for appointments, as well as performing various administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of our clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and register patients for appointments using a computerized scheduling system
  • Receive and register patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and complete demographic information
  • Perform referral functions, including data entry and processing related paperwork
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
  • Perform receptionist and clerical duties, including answering phones and responding to inquiries
  • Assemble and maintain client charts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain various records, including data entry and log sheets
  • Provide clerical support to the department, including booking meetings and preparing documents
Requirements:
  • Grade 12, plus two (2) years' recent experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to keyboard 45 wpm
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Ability to organize work
  • Ability to operate related equipment
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
