Financial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to lead our Financial Services department and provide strategic financial guidance to support the growth and success of the Foothills School Division.

This is a temporary, full-time opportunity that requires strong accounting expertise, leadership skills, and experience working in the education sector. As Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing financial plans and strategies that align with the division's goals and objectives.
  2. Providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders, including the Superintendent of Corporate Services/Secretary Treasurer and the Board of Trustees.
  3. Liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  4. Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with staff, schools, and departments to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

The successful candidate will possess a CPA designation and at least five years of directly related financial and auditing experience in a public or large financial organization. Experience working in the education sector is preferred.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
