About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Victoria Sushi. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage our inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring we have the necessary stock to meet our menu demands.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Work Setting: Restaurant
  • Tasks: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Supervision: Cook (general)
  • Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Work under pressure
