Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Dana Canada Corp. as an Application Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting vehicle software for various applications, including all-electric or hybrid vehicle control, multi-speed transmission, and generator systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients and external teams in developing vehicle software, including conducting initial analyses, establishing test protocols, and identifying sources of problems.
- Support clients on-site or remotely for commissioning Dana TM4 products or for technical meetings.
- Develop and perform vehicle performance simulations to analyze and improve system efficiency.
- Support clients in defining requirements, establishing feasibility, and determining the amount of work needed for modifications or new software developments.
- Participate in proposing and carrying out innovation activities to improve our products, including performance, reliability, and safety.
- Make technical presentations at all levels of the client's organization.
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Software Engineering.
- Five years of relevant experience in software development and systems engineering or similar.
- Knowledge of software and control systems, including C/C++ and Python programming languages.
- Knowledge of CAN data buses and Atlassian tools (BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence).
- Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
