Job Summary

Dana Canada Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting vehicle software for various applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients and external teams to develop software for all-electric or hybrid vehicle control, multi-speed transmission, generator, and other applications.
  • Provide on-site or remote support for commissioning Dana TM4 products or attending technical meetings.
Problem Analysis and Resolution
  • Conduct initial analysis based on client-provided information.
  • Work jointly with clients to establish test protocols and identify problem sources.
  • Develop and perform vehicle performance simulations.
  • Support clients in defining requirements, establishing feasibility, and determining modification or software development needs.
  • Participate in pre-project analysis simulations and risk definition related to implementation.
  • Contribute to proposing and carrying out innovation activities to improve products (Performance, Reliability, Safety, etc.).
  • Make technical presentations at various levels of the client's organization.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Software Engineering.
  • Five years of relevant experience in software development and systems engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of software and control systems.
  • Proficiency in C/C++.
  • Knowledge of Python (asset).
  • Knowledge of CAN data buses.
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
Assets
  • Knowledge of Atlassian tools (BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Knowledge of Polarion Software.
