Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Operations Lead to join our team at Microserve. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the Cybersecurity Program.

About the Role

This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will complement our clients contingent of staff and contract resources.

Responsibilities

The Release Operations Lead will provide cutover/release delivery leadership across the program and specific executable plans for projects aimed at increasing cybersecurity and IT resiliency across the enterprise.

  • Create Cutover Assessment and Initialization: Identify scope, impacted services, program objectives, and communication plan.
  • Cutover Plans: Develop plans that identify project teams, milestones, deployment strategies, dependencies, business impacts, sequencing, risk & contingency, rollback, and transition.
  • Cutover Plans Execution: Lead other teams to execute plans through careful preparation, definition of go/no-go criteria, quality checks, and post-go-live reporting.

Deliverables

The Release Operations Lead will deliver:

  • Draft and final cutover plans per project for SIT Build, UAT Build, Production Cutover, and Cutover plans in Excel or .mpp format.
  • Tracking Issues Log related to cutover.
  • Lessons Learned report for each cutover iteration for each project.
  • Cutover kick-off material per project.
  • Weekly Status Updates during the course of the project.
  • Daily status updates during the course of cutover.

Requirements

To be successful as a Release Operations Lead, you will require:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of combined experience in project management and Cutover Planning, including SaaS deployments.
  • Collaboration and sharing information to develop an internal and external network to leverage best practices.
  • Focusing on customers by creating positive experiences through active listening and continuous improvements.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Mature problem-solving skills and ability to organize complex business topics into common language.
  • Experience working with external software vendors.

Location

New Westminster, BC/Hybrid location available.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, based on experience.
