We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Analyst and Architect to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Technology and Operations group, you will play a critical role in maturing our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and driving the service mapping process forward.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to leverage their expertise in ServiceNow and application services to drive business success. As a ServiceNow Analyst and Architect, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining accurate application service models, working closely with application subject matter experts to develop and maintain relationships between infrastructure components and business capabilities and services.

In this role, you will also be responsible for managing discovery data in our global IT environment, including the management of new subnets and v-centers as well as analysis of CI discovery issues. If you have experience identifying, investigating, and resolving Discovery issues with a working knowledge of UNIX server, Windows server, and network gear, we encourage you to apply.

To succeed in this role, you must have existing ServiceNow System Administrator experience or an equivalent role, understanding the way ServiceNow is designed and configured (relationships tables). You should also have experience with middleware, networking hardware, network protocols, and virtualization environments configurations. Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and JavaScript is also essential.

Requirements
  • Existing ServiceNow System Administrator experience or equivalent role
  • Experience with middleware, networking hardware, network protocols, and virtualization environments configurations
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and JavaScript
  • Experience with ServiceNow reconciliation process and identifying frameworks related to ServiceNow mapping
