Job Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead shipping and receiving personnel, warehousing functions, and manage the company's inventory. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely shipments to and from customers and suppliers.
  • Lead, train, and supervise shipping and receiving employees.
  • Coordinate movement of product on company shunt trucks.
  • Track and coordinate transportation of materials to and from vendors.
  • Pull requirements from QAD for shippers to ship items.
  • Process courier and paperwork for incoming shipments into QAD.
  • File and organize all shipping/receiving documentation.
  • Confirm daily lift truck usage in EASE software.
  • Lead and participate in daily, quarterly, and annual inventory reviews.
  • Investigate issues involving shipping, receiving, storage of supplies, raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Maintain finished goods, warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas in a neat and organized fashion.
  • Operate a lift truck in a safe manner.
  • Assist with GMCCA planning.
  • Manage performance and issue discipline to employees as needed.
  • Complete performance reviews for temporary employee conversions.
  • Complete weekly time and attendance for employees.
  • Administer shipping and receiving individual training to the department as needed.

Requirements:

  • College or technical diploma in a related field an asset.
  • Warehouse experience in an automotive setting an asset.
  • Supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, distribution operation.
  • 5 years' experience operating a lift truck, current lift truck license.
