We offer competitive salaries, starting at $40,950 per year for Early Childhood Assistants, $44,850 per year for Early Learning Facilitators, and $48,750 per year for Registered Early Childhood Educators. Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced early childhood educators to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a consistent child-centred program in accordance with our curriculum (0-6 year olds) and the curriculum (6-12 year olds). You will work closely with other Child Care Educators to ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families
  • Build positive relationships with children and seek opportunities to deepen connections with parents and families keeping them up to date on their child's progress
  • Be a creative play partner who is actively engaged with the children and makes learning fun
  • Independently ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times, while working alone and/or with other Child Care Educators
  • Understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA), municipal and YMCA policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in early childhood education, including a minimum of six months' experience working with young children. You must also possess valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification prior to your first day of work, and up-to-date immunizations required by Public Health. Additionally, you must be able to use frequent light to medium physical effort: lifting up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending and stooping; picking up a child. Flexibility and adaptability regarding assigned working hours are also essential.
