Senior Manager, Talent Development

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Talent to contribute to the overall success of the Talent & Core HR team. This role is responsible for ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships.
- Provide highly specialized technical leadership in the analysis, design, development, and support of cost-effective online HR management and decision support systems.
- Resolve complex business problems and work under tight deadlines, conflicting priorities, and changing requirements.
- Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet business needs by applying HR and technological knowledge.
- Manage multiple medium HR technology projects and/or manage specific sections of large projects to implement technology solutions for HR business problems.
- Participate in the SuccessFactors systems implementation process by interpreting business requirements into systems analysis and technical specification.
- Participate in the review of Quality Assurance (QA) test strategies for assigned projects/initiatives to ensure comprehensive and consistent testing.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of the Division's business strategies and policies, risk management practices, and methodologies.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
Requirements
- 5+ years combined SAP SuccessFactors configuration lead experience.
- SAP SuccessFactors certification in at least one Talent space.
- Spanish speaking is a must.
- Working knowledge of HR business process.
- Creative, self-starting, results-oriented, and highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills.
- Proven interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to build consensus and obtain cooperation from users and senior management.
- Must have a very good understanding of current IT practices, systems development techniques, and rapidly changing technology.
- A recognized undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline, along with 4 to 6 years of practical experience.
