Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation, portioning, and presentation.

    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that customer feedback is acted upon.
  • Reporting and Administration

    • Maintain accurate records of employee hours, attendance, and performance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Physically demanding work, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects.

Working Conditions

Our restaurant is a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding work setting. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be required to work in a hot kitchen environment with exposure to odours and other hazards.
