Position Overview
As a volunteer pilot for the Cycling Without Age initiative, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents by providing them with the opportunity to experience the joy of cycling. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about cycling, enjoy outdoor activities, and find fulfillment in sharing meaningful moments with others.

Saint John, NB
Commitment
Flexible hours, approximately 0-1 hours per week.
Availability
19 out of 20 spots are currently open for volunteers.
Eligibility
Open to adults aged 18 and over.
Tri-Shaw rides will be organized based on the availability of volunteer pilots.
Qualifications RequiredCompletion of Loch Lomond Villa Volunteer Orientation and training specific to the Cycling Without Age Program is mandatory before you can accompany residents on rides.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Cycling Without Age Program is designed to offer residents of Loch Lomond Villa and Village a chance to enjoy cycling, regardless of their physical capabilities. As a pilot, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe operation of a motorized trishaw. You will be paired with residents, ensuring they are securely seated, providing safety instructions, and engaging them in conversation throughout the ride to enrich their experience.
It is essential to adhere to the policies, regulations, and procedures outlined in the Cycling Without Age training provided by Loch Lomond Villa Inc. Additionally, compliance with local traffic laws and bicycle ordinances is required.
Volunteers often find that this narrative-driven program fosters deep connections as they share stories and experiences with residents during their rides.
